Cricket legend shane warne passed away due to ‘natural causes’, according to local authorities in Thailand.
On Friday afternoon, the sports world was stunned when news broke of Warne’s death, who was found numb in his mansion.
The 52-year-old is said to have suffered a heart attack and on Monday authorities released a statement saying an autopsy revealed that Warne had died of “natural causes”.
Deputy Thai National Police spokesperson Kissana also confirmed that Warne’s body would now be transferred to Australia in due course.
Over the weekend, it was also revealed that Warne’s family had accepted the offer of a state funeral, which will be held in Victoria.
Additionally, a stand at the Melbourne Cricket Ground is also set to be renamed in honor of the leg thrower.
