Romelu Lukaku is reportedly eyeing a return to Inter Milan in the summer transfer window.
The striker arrived from the Italian club last summer to return to Chelsea on a five-year deal, having previously worked with the West London club from 2011 to 2014.
Despite scoring 15 goals in 44 appearances in 2021-22, the Belgium international has struggled in his return to the Premier League, having previously admitted he had problems in Thomas Tuchel’s system before apologizing for comments made by the Italian media.
Although he only signed for The Blues last summer, the Belgian forward wants to return to Inter if Chelsea can agree a deal with Serie A, according to Sky Sports News.
However, the report states that Coppa Italia holders cannot afford to sign Lukaku on a permanent contract, which could hinder a potential move.
Lukaku is looking to return to Inter after helping them win the Serie A title in the 2020-2021 season, while he scored 64 goals in 95 appearances for the Italian Club.
